The capital: the walled upper town of Dalt Vila (UNESCO World Heritage), the harbour, the Marina with shops and restaurants and the Sa Penya quarter. Culture and shopping by day, an evening stroll, dinner and bars by the harbour at night. Ferries to Formentera leave from here.
Practical tips for Ibiza Town (Eivissa)
- Walk up to Dalt Vila at sunset: the view from the Cathedral viewpoint is the best over the town and harbour.
- Parking in the centre is hard in summer: use the car parks outside the walls or come by bus or taxi.
- For the nearest beach go to Talamanca or Ses Figueretes, a few minutes away.
- The harbour is the starting point for Formentera: in August buy your ferry ticket in advance.
